Now I know it's not entirely my place to say this, as I don't submit all that much to the audio portal, but I do go through it a lot, looking for music, obviously, and there's some serious room for improvement that I'm surprise the staff haven't jumped on yet.
1) The 'More Latest Submissions >' and 'More Best Tracks >' buttons don't work.
2) On any other list other than the main audio page, there isn't any symbol telling you if it's a loop or a full song, which makes it difficult if you're looking for one in particular, which leads me to..
3) The option to view 'loops' and 'songs' as different categories, like how you can view 'classical' or 'techno', a sub-choice or something would improve that a lot. You have a similar thing in the flash portal, with how you can choose to sort it.
4) Actually have the color code you advertise above the list of new submissions.
5) Maybe a better location for the audio search bar. I know where it is, but I'm sure a lot of less experienced newgrounders probably miss it...all the way down there. Or if you were truly want to bring more light on the audio, put an option in the top search bar for audio.
5 steps that I believe would make the audio portal a much easier experience. I know it's an afterthought for a lot of people here, maybe making it less of a drag to have to use it would change that.
Also, this is wrong, considering the only people that WOULDN'T know that are people that have to go through an approval process. People that CAN upload songs instantly don't need to be told.
Maybe the search bar can go there?
Especially considerin how, after what I've said, that whole box up the top left is almost completely pointless.

I don't know if they've been mentioned before if you look through and see no-one has brought up those suggestions, feel free to post them there.

jeeez, that's a lot to read through, but I'll give it a look.
